Newmont and Caterpillar Collaborate To Reduce Greenhouse Gas Emissions

Newmont Corporation announce a strategic alliance agreement with Caterpillar to deliver a fully connected, automated, zero-emissions, mining system. Through this agreement, Newmont and Caterpillar will collaborate to create a safer, more productive mine, and support Newmont in reaching their 2030 greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions reduction targets of more than 30%, with an ultimate goal of being net-zero carbon by 2050. The agreement will also include the deployment of an all-electric autonomous haulage fleet with an initial investment from Newmont of $100 million.
